Several players have been asking about the strength changes that take place when our cannons are upgraded from +0. I suspect there is a base formula that is multiplicative of some % increase, but I'm not 100% sure. Can we get the formula so we can add it to the guide page? This may assist players with cannon choices, as well as incentivize additional upgrading.
10% more damage or 10% more to base damage? If it stacks like
+0 does 4 damage
+1 does 4.4 damage
+2 does 4.84 damage
+3 does 5.324 damage
+4 does 5.8564 damage
+5 does 6.44 damage
This would be nice, but I thought it said damage added to base?
+0 4 damage
+1 4.4 damage
+2 4.8 damage
+3 5.2 damage
+4 5.6 damage
+5 6 damage
It should stack in order to make cost of upgrading past level 15 worth it. The difference is
+20 damage is 12
+20 damage is 26.9
I'm Curious to know which is correct
It is worth the cost of upgrades for 2 reasons:
1 - The higher your cannon levels the higher the monster spawn levels will be, and epic monsters give out more gold. You will also get more frags/rods for dropping a prison. All around you get more gold so it pays for itself.
2 - In a war you will be able to take down another ship and board them, instead of them boarding you, which is huge as if you beat them they go to their banish spot and have to get back to the war zone.
So level up your cannons if you are going to spend any time in the sky.
