Age 5: Skills! Skills! and More Skills!

We’ve reworked the whole Skill Tree! Read the details below, check out the new Skill Planner. After you’ve found your ideal build you can tap the Direct Link on the top of the page, copy it, and share it the discussion link.



General


  • Everyone’s skills will be reset for FREE with the new age.
  • All Skill Levels only cost 1 Point! This includes specializations.
  • Removing 5 starting skill points but removing Combat Training to make up for it.
  • Adding 6 More Skill points you can unlock from a monk. Requires Aether Energy and Food.
  • Retraining now cost 500 Food (250 w/ plat) to retrain ALL skill points. No partial retraining.
  • Gems require 100,000 pages to forge.
  • Added random Bronze Treasure X’s which show up on the map and can be dug up with shovels. Cartographers can see Silver and Gold Treasure Xs as well.

Existing Skill Tweaks


  • Crafting Weapons - The ability to craft weapons has been moved to the skills that let you use those weapons.
  • Scavenge - Drop is 15% (up from 8%) and can drop Wood, Great Fern Sap, Leather, Iron Ore, Sulfur and Stone.
  • Blacksmithing - Killing a monster in one of your traps gives you the trap back. Remove change in smelting chance.
  • Alchemy - Having this skill improves the effectiveness of all Alchemy created items you use.
  • Troodont Doctrine - HP Regain moved to Triumph. Get +1/+1 near caves and caverns. Small chance of getting Rare items when mining.
  • Leatherworking - 50% reduced wear of Leather Working boots and Gloves. +1/+1 vs monsters that drop Leather. 20% of getting double leather from a drop. 75% of getting nets you throw back.
  • Troll Lore - 10% reduced cost of buying stuff from trolls.
  • Warden - Removed Wolf/Boars helping you and Horn. Increased healing range (moved from Druid). 15% chance of 2x harvesting (up from 10%)
  • Serenity - 45% Aggressive timer reduction (up from 30%)
  • Taunt - Cooldown is 3 minutes (up from 2)
  • Metallurgy - Metals reordered. Gain Iron Ore instead of Iron Slag for dumping +0s. 60% chance of getting 2x Iron Bars when smelting. Removed ability to convert slag to iron.
  • Dragon Master - +1/+1 vs Dragons. Removed Horn, ability moved to Rallying Cry. Required to call your Dragon.
  • Cartography - Can see better Treasure Xs. Map Kits parchment cost halved. Reduced compass wear while you have this skill.
  • Aquarian Inscriptions- +1/+1 vs Aquarians & Corrupted. All Aquarian crafted items are more awesome when you use them.
  • Monolith Drafting
    • Monoliths still decay after 24 hours but they leave remnants for 48 hours. Remnants still take up space but can be replenished for 1 Stone Core Spark.
    • Neutralize Monolith replaced with Reflection Monolith. Gives buff that reflects 3 (6 if you have this skill) metal attack against you. The buff also grants a small chance of creating random metal effect when you are attacked.
    • Bezerker: +2 (down from +3). Having this skill makes it +3
    • Hunter: 20% only brick (not gold). Having this skill makes it 30%
Specialization Tweaks
Prerequisites
Each Specializations now has EXACTLY ONE skill as a prerequisite.

  • Archery - Mercenary, Ranger, Militia
  • Cleave - Warrior, Legion, Knight
  • Martial Arts - Thief, Oiyoi Master, Assassin, Ninja
  • Tactics - Merchant, Druid, Crafter, Explorer (Tactics grants a hunting bonus, see below for details)
Skill Details


  • Mercenary - Insight timer is 15 vs Monsters and 30 vs Players (down from 90). Removed Page Bonus.
  • Thief - Small chance of getting lots of gold when killing humanoid monsters. Speed is 40 (up from 30).
  • Oiyoi Master - 6% chance to stun enemy for 5 seconds with slings or staffs.
  • Assassin - 3x damage triggers when you start unaggressive, not the target. Sneak attack works against monsters. Gets 15% reduction in aggression timer. Stealth Attacks against buildings removed.
  • Legion - Extra Shield bonus reworked: Get +1 for each nearby ally with a shield, regardless of whether or not they are a Legion. Max is still +4.
  • Merchant - Trade Post Tax reduction is 5% (up from 3%) and works for buying and selling. Tactics max raised to +6. Can spend a small amount of Gold to instantly max your Tactics bonus.
  • Druid - Gets credit for damage done by things you heal. Druids replenish can heal shaded targets like normal. Pet cooldown capped at 6 hours. Using a staff gives you Tactics bonus to your minions. Tactics max raised to +6. Moved healing Aura range bonus into Warden Knowledge because Druids no longer requires Warden Knowledge.
  • Crafter - Get a summonable Robot to fight for you. Tactics max raised to +6. Removed page bonus for crafting.
  • Explorer - Being away from player buildings lets your Tactics bonus charge twice as fast. Tactics max raised to +6.
Other Changes


  • Firebomb damage is being lowered. Effectively firebombs do 20% less damage if you don’t have the Alchemy skill and the same damage if you do.
  • Gyronts shell drop is being lowered to 20% from 100%
  • If a pet is sent back you keep the time they have left on their timer for the next time you call them.
  • Added a Map Book.
  • You can’t trigger your own traps.
  • You now get tokens for kills your minions make.
New Skills


  • Oyioi Strike - Small chance to insta kill non boss monsters. Replaces Oiyoi as Dojo unlock.
  • Martial Arts - Gives dodge, unarmed fighting, Martial Arts (previously Oiyoi) Weapon Usage and Crafting. Does not require Chi to unlock.
  • Tactics - Gives +3 attack bonus vs monsters. Charges while unaggressive and drains while aggressive.
  • Relentless Assault - After killing a group of monsters you charge to your next monster and gain bonus attack vs that monster. Melee Only.
  • Ricochet - Ranged attacks hit a second target past the first one.
  • Mercantilism - Gain access to deals sold at Markets. Discount buying from Markets and Traveling Merchants.
  • Provoke - Automatically taunt monsters trying to flee from melee range and reduce their defense.
  • Rally Cry - Gives you and allies +2 attack for 60 seconds. 10 minute cooldown. Killing monsters when buffed reduces cooldown. (Moved from Dragon Master Level 3)
  • Triumph - Killing a monster restores a % of your max HP (Moved from Troodont Level 3)
  • Monster Bane - Killing a monster gives you +3 attack vs monsters of the same type and -1 def vs monsters of a different type.
  • Fatality - Killing an entity deals a % of its max HP in damage to nearby entity.
  • Focus - Allows you to focus 90% of your attacks against the first target you engage after being unaggressive. Three consecutive attacks against that target do extra damage.
  • Dungeoneering - Speed in Dungeons. Can run dungeons every 5 days. Can save position inside Dungeons.
  • Heroism - Killing a boss once a day gives you +2 vs all monsters. +1/+1 vs boss monsters.
  • Cleanse - Active ability to remove debuffs. 3 minute cooldown.
  • Bond - Your pets’ attacks heal you and your pet 3hp. Your pet cooldowns are reduced by 15%. You pets last for 60 extra minutes.

This is the build I would use as my land hunting warrior. But I do want to try a new specialization...

Wow! This is going to take a lot of thinking about......

Okay, slight bug on the tree.

I set it up as level1 Druid, tapped max level and it assigned 2 skill points. Tapped max level, it added a third and every time I tapped it added another... I ended up with 7 skill points assigned to level1 Druid.....

I suppose I could use a Sling if necessary, but I'm going for a melee-only Thief myself.

To clarify, Oiyoi ranged weapons (Slings, Shurikens and Blow Darts) now have the ranged bonus you used to get through the skills built into their base range and no longer require a skill to increase their range.
